Alzheimer's Benefit Concert

The season's kick-off event will be an Alzheimer's Benefit Concert available on YouTube.  This event will include AGO members Jaebon Hwang, Allison Luedeke, Emma Whitten and T. Paul Rosas along with Pierre Joubert (violin), Stephanie Draper (soprano) and Dan Bailey (piano).

Emma Whitten will be playing the gentle and moving Sarabande on "Land of Rest" by Gerald Near followed by the lively Prelude, Fugue and Chaconne in C by Dietrich Buxtehude. Alison Luedecke and her good friend Pierre Joubert will be entertaining us with J. S. Bach's delightful Sonata in G for harpsichord and violin. T. Paul Rosas will be sharing two of his compositions, the haunting Journey of the Heart sung by Stephanie Draper and his delightful "Festive Gigue".  Jaebon Hwang will share the amazing and glorious Cortege et Litanie by Marcel Dupré.  Plus there will be many other musical surprises.

A link is also set up to make donations to the Alzheimer's Association anytime before or during the event.  Visit http://act.alz.org/goto/AlzBenefitConcerts for more information on supporting this cause.  It is a simple process and with funds going to a very good cause.
